"Bones Beneath the Ballpark"

Join Arizona State Museum zooarchaeologist Nichole Mathwich and educator Larea Lewis Saturday, Sept. 17, for a three-hour exploration of "Bones Beneath the Ballpark: Zooarchaeology Training for Middle & High School Teachers."

The program, which will earn attendees 3 hours of continuing education credit, includes a visit to ASM's renowned Stanley J. Olsen Laboratory of Zooarchaeology on the University of Arizona campus.

The day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon. Fee is $35 and includes refreshments.

Among the benefits:

Teachers will be certified to check out ASM's Bank One Ballpark zooarchaeoiogy kit with hands-on materials and lesson guides.
