A degree in Anthropology yields rewards far beyond monetary compensation. The treasures of the ancients are mythical, fascinating, trance-like, and all-encompassing. To actually have the ability to touch, feel and absorb ever aspect of a piece of history thousands of years old is beyond description.

I believe it's important not to limit ourselves to a career that offers a comfy lifestyle but a career that we can embrace with passion and wonder.

I've always been grateful to the museum workers - paid and volunteer - who took the time to make the exhibits come alive for my kids. With four rowdy boys, the time our family spent in museums was well spent (for us and for other guests!) only if my boys were truly understanding what they were seeing.

I have a lot of respect for those people who work in museums. They work very hard and have greater understanding of the cultures and people that exist in the past. Truly, those who work in museums are dedicated individuals who love their craft.
