Friday, February 17, 6:30–8:00 p.m. Location: The Southwest Indian Art Fair is held at Arizona State Museum on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. The museum is just inside the Main Gate at Park Ave. and University Blvd. Map, Directions and Parking Set Up: Please be set up by the time the fair opens each day. Saturday: Set up on Saturday is between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Museum members are allowed to begin shopping at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Sunday: On Sunday, set up is between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Please have your confirmation letter with you when you arrive. When you arrive at the Main Gate, a parking attendant will direct you to the unloading area. There you will pick up your Arrival Packet and unload your vehicle. Volunteers are available to assist you to your table/space. Note: you may bring family or friends to help you during the weekend. Space is limited, however. Please limit the number of people behind your table as a courtesy to other artists around you. Parking: You may park temporarily in front of Arizona State Museum to unload. After unloading, you may park in garages just one block from the museum. A map will be provided. Cars parked illegally will be towed. Making Cash Change: You are responsible for your cash change. Please plan accordingly. Neither Arizona State Museum, the admission booth, the raffle booth, nor the museum store can provide change. There is a bank across the street that is open Saturday morning only. Electricity: Electricity is NOT available on site to recharge credit card machines, cell phones, etc. Please plan accordingly. Food: Food services are available on the grounds of the museum. Drinks and lunch items are sold. The Hospitality Center, sponsored by Arizona State Museum, is open on Saturday morning from 7:30 until 10 a.m., and Sunday morning from 8 until 10 a.m. If you prefer, there are a number of small restaurants, sandiwch ships, and cafes just outside the Main Gate. Security: Arizona State Museum provides uniformed security guards on site. University of Arizona campus police are nearby. Of course, the best security system is your watchful eyes. Please monitor your artwork. Arizona State Museum is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen merchandise. Overnight: We cannot store your artwork inside the museum over Saturday night. |
