Friends of Hubbell Trading Post Live Auction

We are happy to announce a new feature for the 2012 Southwest Indian Art Fair (SWIAF). Through a partnership with the Friends of Hubbell Trading PostOpens in a new window and R. B. Burnham & CompanyOpens in a new window, the 2012 Southwest Indian Art Fair features a live auction of Navajo rugs and other Native art items on Saturday, February 18.

More than 200 items will be auctioned! Artists are encouraged to participate by entering artwork. Consignment agreement details are available from the auctioneer, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Saturday February 18

Consignments accepted from artists: 8:00–10:00 a.m. (in the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) auditorium, a space adjacent to the fair)

Preview to the public: 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Auction free to public: 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Sunday February 19

Artists pick up unsold consigned goods: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.


Major portions of the proceeds from the live auction support the participating artists and Native American scholarships. A small portion will support the Southwest Indian Art Fair.
