Check out Memory Lane: Traditions in Motion from Arizona State Museum, which showcases hand-painted vehicles by Native artists, each a vibrant expression of heritage and culture. Then join ASM staff to create and decorate your own 3D paper car.

For many Indigenous communities, adopting and adapting car culture is a way of expressing heritage and contemporary experiences. Cars, skateboards, motorcycles, bicycles, and even shoes become canvases, often incorporating traditional symbols, colors, and patterns. This unique expression of self is a dynamic and evolving cultural landscape.

We are grateful to our friends and colleagues at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures for their partnership!
