Connecting us to time, place, and people, the Arizona State Museum’s photographic collection documents the enduring cultures of the Southwest. Spanning from ancient archaeological excavations to modern-day communities, the archive offers an unparalleled look at the human experience. Join Jannelle Weakly as she explores the incredible diversity of imagery ASM has collected and preserved since 1893.

Jannelle Weakly serves as Arizona State Museum’s photographic and multimedia collections manager. From 2001 to 2010 she worked as their photographer. Her job includes caring for physical photographic and digital image collections, providing access to researchers, and collaborating to create exhibitions.
