K-12 Group Visits

Students, teachers, and chaperones are welcome to explore ASM’s exhibits, which focus on the rich history and culture of the U.S. Southwest and northern Mexico.

Self-guided exploration of exhibits is available Tuesday–Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. All visits must be pre-scheduled and require at least one adult chaperone per eight students.

Museum guides are not provided. Teachers are encouraged to visit the museum before bringing their classes on a field trip (free admission for teachers for this purpose is offered with prior arrangement). To make your students’ experience more meaningful, we recommend using discovery hunts and other background materials, which are available here.

Cost: K-12 students are free and UA and PCC students are free with their ID card. Teachers and chaperones pay the standard admission fee of $5 per adult. This fee will be invoiced to you upon registration. Please ask us about funds to help cover the cost of a school bus for your visit. If you do not pre-register, we may not be able to accommodate your group in the museum.

Email us for more information, to register your class visit, or to inquire about bus funds.

For directions and information on school bus parking, visit the UA PTS web page.

School Groups meet on the steps in front of the ASM north building. Cars and buses may unload students in front of the museum. Cars can park in the UA lots (see above). Bus parking must be arranged through UA Parking and Transportation Services by calling 520-621-3710 at least 3 days in advance.
